My Journey on Overcoming Depression is a Self- Help book based on my personal struggles with depression.
This book contains practical steps I took towards overcoming depression- How I was able to get back on my feet and take charge of my life.
According to Vanguard Newspaper 2019, Nigeria ranked 15th in the world for suicide and it’s projected to increase in 2021! Now, this is alarming not just in Nigeria alone but the world at large.
A lot of people are losing the battle and succumbing to suicide.
What can we do about it?
How can we help those around us who are suffering from things they might not be able to share with others?
Is suicide really the answer?
As someone who has contemplated suicide, I can tell you first-hand that it goes beyond just hitting rock bottom. It’s a state of total helplessness.
Each day I’m thankful to be alive. I’m thankful for the gift of family and friends. I am thankful that I chose to live even though, at the time, I didn’t see the need to.
Years later, I’m sharing my personal journey with the world. The aim- to be able to reach out to as many people as possible going through a hard time. To make them understand that they are not alone if only they reach out to others and get the professional help they need and decide to embark on the slow but effective journey to healing then there’s no limit to what they can achieve
